SECURITY cameras have been installed at Palmwoods Railway Station and as a result, offenders have already been caught vandalising the railway station. Anyone planning on causing problems at the railway station is warned to remember you are being watched!

THE Chevallum State School has been the target of two recent break and enters. It is suspected that the same offender/s are responsible. A video player, CD player and cash were stolen in the first instance, but nothing was taken on the second occasion. Local residents should keep watch on the Chevallum School after hours, and report any suspicious activity.

THE CIB in Nambour has performed a number of drug raids in the district, netting a substantial amount of cannabis. If anyone has any suspicion of illicit drug activity, they can phone police anonymously with any information.

AN elderly gentleman at Glenview, had the shock of his life when his car caught fire when he was leaving his garage. Despite quick action by local residents and firefighters, the car was destroyed. It is believed that an electrical fault in the car's engine caused the fire.

THE Sun Pacific Cycle Club will be holding regular practices in the Chevallum, Eudlo, and Ilkley areas. Motorists should exercise caution when they enter the cycle circuit, particularly when overtaking the bikes.

THERE have been reports of motorists speeding through Chevallum, Palmwoods and Woombye school zones. The Traffic Branch will be performing radar checks at these sites during the coming weeks. Please stop speeding through school zones, as it only puts children's lives and your own at risk.
