PALMWOODS Dads had a chance to see what their children learn at the Palmwoods Community Kindergarten at the recent Father's Night.

Fathers and their children participated in a number of activities, including finger painting, puppet making and doing the hokey pokey.

"The children and fathers had a great time," Centre Director Lesley McGrath said. "The children are also busy making their Mother's Day present out of recycled paper."

She said it would be a hectic time for Kindy staff next month, with a variety of events planned. A family dance party for up to 8 year olds, will be held on Friday, April 11, from 5pm to 8pm, at the Palmwoods Memorial Hall.

Admission is $5 a child which includes a sausage sizzle. Tickets are available from the Kindy on 5445 9027 or at the door on the night. Children must be accompanied by an adult. A cent auction on Friday, April 18, at the Palmwoods Memorial Hall from 7pm. Tickets are 50 cents a sheet and tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
