The divisional final of the CWA’s cookery, knitting and crochet and floral art competitions was held at the Palmwoods Memorial Hall on April 14.
Members came from branches as far as Peachester, Beerwah, Maleny, Kenilworth and the coast to Coolum to take part. Winners will now compete in the State Final, which will be finalised at the State Conference in June.
The State Knitting and Crochet final will be judged at Cooroy on May 5, and will be open to the public on May 16.
Local winners at the divisional final were Glad Dumin from Woombye who won first prize for her Quick Mix Carrot Cake and Rhoda Mathies who won the Boiled Fruit Cake and Chocolate Cake sections.
