WOOMBYE HONOURS ANZACS

Members of the 2nd Light Horse Regiment Woombye Troop formed the guard of honour and provided a piper while the Salvation Army Band led the service as the sun rose over Woombye on Anzac Day morning. The Woombye Hotel later provided a free breakfast for the larger than usual crowd who crowded into the memorial park for the dawn service.

The Palmwoods Service was held an hour earlier, at 4.28am and attracted its usual large turn-out.
