Guides celebrate Mother's Day

PALMWOODS Guides held a Mothers’ Day Dinner for the mums on the Thursday before Mother’s Day. The table was set with candles, flowers and place cards. The Guides had been toiling in the hot kitchen from 4.30pm and served a three course dinner. After dinner games were played and wonderful night was had by all.

The girls are also working on a mural to put on the front wall of the hut.

This term the Brownies have started working on their "World Centres" badge. We had a visit from the international adviser, Bronwyn Burke who brought along some interesting things from Mexico and told us about her visit to "our Cabana".

Games from other countries and learning how to say hello from the countries of the World centres has also been fun.

In the next few weeks will be cooking and a short hike. The girls have also applied for a penfriend from another country. If anyone has some free time on Monday afternoons between 3.30pm and 5.30pm, the Guides would greatly appreciate someone to help out with games and activities.

Anyone interested should contact Donna on 5494 7812 (Brownies), or Narelle on 5445 9990 (Guides).
