THE Palmwoods Arts and Crafts Group now has an extra shed to house fibre for basketry. The group sends its thanks to SCAGS and the Buderim Basketry Group.

Any useful recyclable materials such as beads, buttons, material remnants or especially old craft books are wanted by the Arts and Crafts Group. Contact Jeanette on 5446 8651 if you can help.

The group has sheds to house these valuables and you can be assured they will be treasured and recycled into useful articles.

The ladies recently enjoyed a visit from Adele Outteridge, who hosted a bookmaking workshop.

Adele is a talented artist who gave the group several hints which were simple but very relevant to special techniques.

The participants who attended this workshop will be sharing their knowledge with the rest of the group at an open day on June 27, at The Shed, Old Bowling Green Road, Palmwoods. Enquiries to Lillian 5445 9062.
