THE Mother’s Day cake, raffled by the Ladies of the Palmwoods Hostel Auxiliary was won by Lorraine Buhk, while Di Roberts collected second prize.

The Auxiliary thanks Isabel Baumann for the beautiful cake she made, iced and donated, and everyone who bought tickets to help set up funds to buy little luxuries for the residents of the Palmwoods hostel.

The latest purchase will be a portable Compact Disc player for use in the activities room, which will be gratefully received.

The Ladies of the Palmwoods Hostel Auxiliary meet at the Hostel on the fourth Tuesday of each moth at 2pm. New members are always welcome.
