Fire destroys home

Firemen battle the flames as fire consumes a family home on McKees Road
A FAMILY of eight was left homeless when a fire destroyed their Palmwoods home last month.
Peter and Celine Howes found their uninsured home engulfed by flames when they returned home to McKees Road on June 6.
The fire was attended by units from both the Palmwoods Rural Fire Brigade and the Nambour urban brigade.
Palmwoods Police Snr Constable Paul Campbell said there were no suspicious circumstances. It is believed the fire was caused by an electrical fault.
The family is currently living in a caravan on their McKees Road property. They would appreciate donations of building equipment or anything else which might help them to get through this difficult time.
The family can be contacted on 5478 9340.
