Devils deliver finals berth

THE Palmwoods Devils rugby league team remains in third place on the Second Division ladder after a 16-all draw with Beachmere last weekend.

Club president and player Glenn Rogers said the Devils’ had to win one game of the next three to secure third placing, giving it two chances at making the final.

"If we get knocked to fourth place, it means we only have one attempt at making the final, and that would make it pretty tough," Glenn said.

"But if we win one out of the next three, we will cement our place in third position, and have a second chance if we lose the first match in the finals series."

Glen said the team was confident of doing well in the finals, and was looking forward to tight matches with Bribie Island and Cooroy in the coming weeks.
