Come to the cabaret A LICENSED theatre cabaret is coming up as the next major production from the Palmwoods Singers Theatrical Society. "Pirates in Mens Pants" is an absurd story of questionable literary merit performed by a cast of equally questionable ability for which they will undoubtedly require audience participation. Captain Splendid will be played by Peter Sanders, First Mate is Keith Bridger, and Captain Cornelius Crook is Wendy Murray. They are supported by a motley group of snobbish English Ladies, sailors, tailors, pirates and a mysterious mermaid. The ship arrives at Palmwoods Memorial Hall on September 13, at 8pm for a night of fun entertainment and hot supper. Admission is $15, and it is a good idea to organise a table of friends and book now. There will be a Sunday Matinee commencing 2pm the following day when admission will be adults $7 and children $3 which includes afternoon tea. Tables hold six to eight people and bookings should be made by September 6. Phone 5445 9280 or 5445 9257 for further information or bookings. |
