Sports club AGM

THE annual general meeting of the Palmwoods Sporting Association last month re-elected all key people to their posts.

Chairman Dennis Beutel and current board members, secretary Ian Griffiths and treasurer Sandy Mills will continue in their roles and Cr Geoff Littler will remain association auditor.

Mr Beutel said the association had had a busy 12 months, with many local organisations making the most of the sporting facilites.

"The ground is well used by the Palmwoods community, with the scouts, guides, tennis and cricket clubs all calling the sports centre home," he said.

Mr Beutel said big things were planned at the centre for the new year, including possible lighting for the tennis courts, and a new scout complex.
