Arts Festival opens at hall

for this weekend's gala arts festival.

PALMWOODS residents will be treated to a feast of artwork this weekend with a Festival of Arts and Crafts to celebrate the Palmwoods Memorial Hall’s 75th Anniversary

The festival, hosted by the Palmwoods Art and Craft Group, will feature top class artists including children’s art, wall hangings, pottery, woodwork, sculpture and paintings.

The official opening will be held on Friday, August 5, with wine and cheese served at 7pm, followed by the announcement of prize winners.

On Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm, local crafts people will be demonstrating and selling their work.

Items on display will include book making and binding, fabric painting, pottery, basketry, weaving and spinning and bush craft.

Everyone is invited to call in and enjoy the work of talented local artists and to have a cuppa and some damper with the Hall Committee in the supper room.
