Book now for the S.S. Palmwoods THE social event of the month will be a Licensed Cabaret "Pirates in Mens Pants" starring the Palmwoods Singers at the Memorial Hall on September 13, at 8pm. Producer Marjorie Murray and assistant Beth Toomey have ensured a top class production and the props crew, including Stan Hyde and Nicole Matter, have manufactured an assortment of colourful scenery. Admission is adults $15 which covers a hot supper. The Sunday Matinee starts at 1.30pm when admission will be adults $7 and children $3 including afternoon tea. The show will be staged again on Saturday 20, at Beerwah. On Wednesday 17, the Palmwoods Singers third morning concert "Spring Medley" will feature songs from Strauss and a choral segment from the children. Admission is by donation, with groups from hostels, retirement villages and seniors groups especially welcome. Concert starts at 9.30am and is followed by morning tea at 10.30am. Bookings are essential for all shows and may be made by phoning 5445 9280 or 5445 9257. Raffle ticket sellers extraordinaire Rita Herrick and Joyce Weir are doing a magnificent job with Fathers Day Hamper. All profits at the moment go towards the Grand Piano Fund. |
