Woombye School awards

WOOMBYE State School principal Rob Edmonds has been conducting a weekly parade to acknowledge students in a "Student of the Week" program.

Children are nominated by class teachers for academic achievement, outstanding social skills or any other behaviour which attracts the attention of staff. They are then presented with their awards in front of the school community.

A "Playground Behaviour" award is also presented. Children who show outstandingly good behaviour in the playground put their names into a lucky draw. The name pulled out wins an iceblock donated by the tuckshop.
