Calling all young athletes

ASPIRING athletes from the Palmwoods district are invited to take part in the spring season of Little Athletics.

The Nambour Club, which covers the area from Noosa to Glass House Mountains, is based at the Police Youth Club in Nambour.

Publicity Officer Maureen Murphy said children taking part in Little Athletics were able to compete in a friendly environment, at their own level, and learn valuable new skills.

"The children who come along can try discus, use the jump pit and race on the track," she said. "The Nambour Centre encourages children to come and learn new skills and have some fun at the same time."

Children who are looking to improve their techniques are able to attend coaching on Tuesday afternoons.
