Big Rig is here

MAROOCHY's new Mobile Library will visit Palmwoods every Tuesday in the same place, but at a different time.

The bigger, brighter and better semi-trailer which has been affectionately dubbed the "big rig" will stop outside the Police Station in Margaret Street, from 9am to 10.30am.

Patrons will be able to access more than 7500 items including fiction and non-fiction for children and adults, large print books, a music collection including compact discs and cassettes and reference, paperback and talking book collections.

There will also be a new book display area, a book and magazine sale area and a separate children's area.

Special features of the new library include wheelchair access, public access to the computer catalogue, CD-ROM for public use, an extendable capsule for the loans desk, photocopier, air conditioning, comfortable and accessible steps, two entry doors, carpet and timber shelving.
