Student on high FORMER Woombye State School student Megan Olsen was among the high achievers who helped place Nambour State High School above the state average for OP scores on the higher levels of the scale. Megan, who achieved an OP2, is the daughter of Gerry and Eleanor Olsen of Woombye and won the Palmwoods Guides BP Award in 1994. "Students such as Megan were justly rewarded for the efforts that they produced in their school work during their senior school years," Nambour High School Principal Wayne Troyhan said. "Students results in the subjects studied were at a very pleasing level generally, again being above the standard levels, and this was reflected in the consistently high OP score results." OP scores for Year 12 students are calculated in the range from 1 to 25 with 1 being the highest. Mr Troyhan said all students and teachers were to be congratulated for the success achieved in 1997. |
