SCHOOL'S IN ...
THE 67 new Year Ones and a new covered area were part of a big start to the new school year at the Woombye State School last week. With the former school library now making its mark on Pine Grove Road and the old administration block given a new lease of life as a home in Eudlo, there was plenty of space to create an assembly area big enough to cater for a growing school. "We had outgrown our previous assembly area under the school," Deputy Principal Evan Russell said. "This new covered area means we have plenty of space and we can also catch a breeze." Woombye School enrolments are now up to 430 pupils with another 50 at the pre-school. |
