DECEMBER 9 is a memorable day for Janet Robinson - and it may soon be forever marked in the pages of history.

Janet’s family hopes to enter next year’s edition of the Guinness World Book of Records.

In four generations, six family members share the same birthday, two of the generations with twins.

Janet’s mother Mary Collett, 68, was born on December 9. And so were her twin daughters Janet and Debbie, 34. That in itself, is quite a coincidence.

It was a little bit of history repeated when Janet also gave birth to twins, Rachael and Daniel, you guessed it, on December 9, nine years ago.

"Now I know how mum felt having twins on her birthday," Janet said.

If that’s not enough, Megan, Janet’s niece had a baby girl, also on December 9.

"I was blown out when they told me Megan had the baby on our birthday," Janet said. "I couldn’t believe it and thought they must have been joking."

It was this most recent addition to the family which prompted Janet’s sister Gail to send in to the World Book of Records.

"Gail has all the birth certificates together and all that has to be done is to put it in the post," Janet said. "However we do know that there is no other family like ours in the world records."

She said that it was a quite a coincidence having the same birthday, as none of the babies had been expected on that date.

"My twin sister and I were actually born 10 weeks premature," she said. "And when I had Rachael and Daniel, they arrived10 days early."

Janet, a Palmwoods resident, said she hopes to travel to Melbourne to see her family for their next birthday.

"When we do get together on our birthday, it’s just like Christmas, only a couple of weeks early," she said.
