POLICE BEAT A PACIFIC Paradise woman was lucky to escape serious injury when her car collided with a horse that had strayed on to Chevallum Road late at night. The driver of the vehicle had to be cut from the vehicle by fire officers using the jaws of life. The seriously injured thoroughbred horse had to be put down by a vet who was called to the scene. To save owners the trauma of losing valuable animals, it is a good idea to ensure that stock is kept securely in paddocks. IT is good to see that work is now completed on the railway entrance intersection with Chevallum Road. This work should greatly reduce the likelihood of accidents occurring in the future and thanks must go to Cr Littler for his pressure to get this work done. THERE have been a number of complaints of vicious dogs in the Eudlo area, with one being impounded by Maroochy Shire Council. Another dog has been declared dangerous and must be kept in a private area. Anyone with a dog which could present a danger to others, should be sure it is kept in an enclosed yard to avoid such incidents. A SMALL crop of cannabis plants was located in the Eudlo area after Palmwoods Police received information from a groundsel sprayer. The plants have been destroyed and inquiries are continuing as to the offenders. THERE has been one report of a break and enter. A red Silvan blow mister was stolen from a shed on Landershute Road and. The nature of this break and enter would indicate that the offenders would have some farming use for the mister. If anyone has any information, please pass it on to Palmwoods police. THERE has been a complaint of clothes being stolen from a washing line at a residence in the township of Palmwoods. If anyone has any information of clothes going missing, please contact police. |
