Chenrezig plans big line-up

INTRODUCTORY talks on a variety of Buddhist subjects, will be held at the Chenrezig institute on Fridays this month.

The talks, which start at 10.30am, will be followed by lunch and discussion and meditation in the afternoon. Venerable Jampa Dekyi will give talks on Definitely emerging, April 10; Awakening the heart, April 17; Dissolving limitations, April 24.

Wednesday morning talks continue with the resident Tibetan Geshe Tashi Tsering who has been in India for four months. The talks are followed by discussion and meditation in the afternoon. All teachings are by donation.

Geshe Tashi Tsering will also give a talk on "Perfecting patience: the antidote to anger" on Sunday April 5 at 2pm. In his first public talk of 1998, he will discuss the destructive qualities of anger and the calming constructive qualities of patience.

There is no charge for these teachings however donations are appreciated.

"Dance of the 21 praise to Tara", a workshop and ritual performance with Prema Dasara and Anahata Iradah will be held at 7pm from Friday to Sunday, April 24-26. The Tara dance ritual performance will show at 6pm on the Sunday.

Cost of the workshop is $130 plus food and accommodation. Texts and costumes for the dance performance are covered by the course fee. Cost to see the performance only is $10.
