Bowlers out for Anzac

PALMWOODS Bowls Club members and social bowlers had a great day for the Anzac Day program.

The event raised funds for the local cricket and vigoro clubs who also supported the activities and received a cheque to round off a great day and night of fun.

Major events in May are the Mother’s Day challenge on May 9. This year, the ladies make the rules and it is hoped they will let everyone know what the rules are before the day starts.

Sunday, May 17, is the Fish Day, an all day mixed fours event starting at 9am. There will be $300 in seafood trays to be won.

Past Presidents are funding an open triples event on Saturday, May 30, from 1pm.

A new weekly event is an open pairs competition on Wednesdays at 1pm with good cash trophies on offer.

Regular pokie player Vicky Gordon brought up the elusive five black rhinos to win a jackpot.
