Scouts' new den on target

Construction is now well underway on the Palmwoods Scouts Group new den, adjacent to the sportsground in Dunning Street.

The Cape Cod style building, on poles, is over two storeys and is larger than the old den near the swimming pool, with a meeting room, kitchen, toilets and showers and a hall area. It is due for completion in about four months.

Volunteers are now working on the site every weekend under the supervising eye of builder and Cub leader Mark Meisenhelter of Whitehaven Homes.
