RDA issues invitation

PALMWOODS Riding for the Disabled is inviting local clubs and organisations to take part in its annual Open Day celebrations next month.

The Open Day, to be held on Saturday, September 12, at the Riding for the Disabled headquarters Palmwoods Park, on Hunchy Road, is to be extended into a full day festival.

A big line-up is already planned and it is hoped other Palmwoods organisations will contribute with entertainment and activities.

"We would like to make this a festival for all of Palmwoods to join in the celebrations," spokesman Jim Cushing said. "Riding for the Disabled will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year so we hope to use this year’s open day as a practice run for an even bigger festival next year."
