Scouts plan jumble sale

THE Woombye Scout Group is planning a Jumble Sale to be held on Saturday, September 12 at the Woombye Scout Den, on the old Woombye Road, opposite the Railway Station, from 9am to 2pm.

Jumble sales have been successful for the past few years, and the funds raised have enabled the Scout Group to continue with maintenance and improvements to the Den.

All items for sale have been donated by generous community members, and further donations of saleable items will be greatly appreciated. Collection of donated items can be arranged by contacting 54421922 (Di) or 54421756 a/hrs (Marion).

Bargains are guaranteed and everyone is invited to come and browse through the ‘pre-loved’ items.

September is also Scout Job Month and Woombye Scout Group has willing workers (Cubs and Scouts) who would enjoy tackling jobs such as gardening, window cleaning and car washing, around your yard and house.

It is preferred that they work in small groups and the recommended rate is $4 an hour per person.

All Cubs and Scouts will carry an official Job Month Card on which jobs are to be recorded. For the Woombye area, please phone 54421756 a/hrs or 54421922 if you would like to have any jobs done.
