Singers afloat in sugar parade

Young Palmwoods Singers member Ashley Jones was happy to be part of the fun and festivities when the Palmwoods Singers entered an impressive float in the Nambour Sugar Festival Parade last month.

Members had a wonderful time on the float which was organised and prepared by a small but efficient artistic crew. The Singers enjoyed a wonderful reception from the crowds lining Currie Street and added colour to the surroundings as they strolled through Petrie Park afterwards.

The district was also represented with floats from the Palmwoods School and the Christian Outreach College, while Palmwoods resident Peter Stonehouse led the Maroochy District Band.
