Clio's
wins - again

Nelson Palmer receives another trophy from Sunshine Coast
Gourmet Club members Lucia Ross, left, and Marion Grey.
Clios Restaurant continues to cook up a storm, scooping the Sunshine Coast Gourmet
Dinner of the Year award, which it also won in 1992.
Owner Nelson Palmer, who established Clios Restaurant in 1985, said he was thrilled to
received the award for a second time.
"We are really pleased with this latest award, particularly as we are the only
restaurant on the Coast to have received it twice," he said.
The judging panel, comprised of up to 35 women, visits restaurants throughout the
Sunshine Coast region, rating and assessing a variety of areas.
"We are judged on the overall package which includes innovation of the menu,
presentation of both the food and the restaurant, service of staff, and ambience,"
Nelson said.
Adding to the host of awards it is collecting, Clios has also snatched the Epicurean
Dinner of the Year award for two consecutive years in 1997 and 1998.
For those who would like to sample the award winning local restaurant, Clios is
celebrating Fathers Day with a Sunday lunch set menu special priced at $25 head,
which includes a choice of entrees, main course, dessert and tea/coffee.
