Singers sponsor trophy

A PERPETUAL shield, hand-crafted by Ralph Willis, has been presented to the Junior Eisteddfod Society as the Musical Comedy award by the Palmwoods Singers Theatrical Society.

President Beth Toomey, the daughter of Mr Willis, presented the award to Patrice Tipoli, a most worthy recipient, who had also achieved in other categories.

The last payment for the grand piano has been made, which is good news. The whole group has worked long and hard but special thanks must go to those intrepid raffle ticket saleswomen Rita Herrick and Joyce Weir.

Thanks also to the wonderful support not only from the local community but throughout the Sunshine Coast. The piano has already been used for quality performances.
