Kindy kids celebrate books

PALMWOODS Community Kindergarten and Preschool took an active part in the recognition of book week last month.

The preschool group walked up to Palmwoods State School where the Maroochy Mobile Library was stationed. Itching to find out what was inside the big truck, they discovered much to their delight - books of all descriptions covering its walls.

To their delight a story teller complete with guitar entertained them with tales and songs. Parent Tony Nixon told stories a koala.

Dog obedience instructor Cora Hawthawn has been teaching the children about dog safety with visits to the centre with various dogs.

The Children’s Dance Party will be held at the Palmwoods Memorial Hall on October 30 from 5pm to 8pm, for children under 10 (adults come free).

Palmwoods Community Kindergarten and Preschool operates a playgroup on Thursdays from 1-3pm. Inquiries to Lesley on 5445 9027.
