Busy calendar at St Augustine's

ST Augustines, at Palmwoods, will have a pet blessing service at 10.30am on October 4, St Francis’ Day. St Francis is considered to be the patron saint of animals.

All are welcome to bring their pets along, providing they are suitably restrained.

St Augustines recently heard from Mrs Kareena Clifford about the valuable work of the Refugee and Migrant groups in Brisbane. If anyone in the area is interested in forming a group to help those less fortunate than themselves, contact the church on 5478 9300, and a meeting will be organised.

Sunday, December 13 is the date for the Combined Carol Service, which will be held at the Uniting Church this year.

ST Augustines Anglican Church served up lunch for some of its older congregation members on Saturday, September 19, at the church hall. Rev Pat King said the lunch offered a good opportunity for the church’s older members who often didn’t get out to have an outing, a hot lunch and also to thank them for their helpfulness.
