Palmwoods swings into new term

PALMWOODS State School had a full month in October, kicking off the fourth and final term of the year.

Activities included a string workshop, Arbor Day celebrations, a pupil free day on October 19, an information sharing night and Giddy Goanna Workshops.

A school program for swimming is currently being developed which will provide a development of skills from Years 1 to 7. Year 7 students have been experiencing surf awareness lessons at Alexandra Headland on a weekly basis.

Students and parents were encouraged to thank teachers on Friday, International Teachers Day.

A special sessions for parents of children starting Year 1 in 1999 will be held at the school on November 18 from 9am Inquiries to the school on 5445 9361.
