pre-school stays busy during November
PALMWOODS state preschool had a busy day on November 13 when they
celebrated an anniversary, a farewell and an opening.
A quarter of a century of state preschool education in Queensland was
celebrated as well as 13 years of preschool education at Palmwoods.
A sad but fond farewell was said to Sally Mason who retired after 23
years of teaching in Queensland preschools, the last six and a half years being at
Palmwoods.
Guests included past Principal John Weier, Mary Evans who started the
Palmwoods preschool in 1985, as well as present and past pupils along with many parents.
As part of the days celebrations the Principal of Palmwoods State
School Don Roche officially opened the new preschool play area in the former location of
the school residence.
