POLICE BEAT
WITH SNR CONSTABLE PAUL CAMPBELL

DETECTIVES from Nambour together with local Police located a number of people living in a Palmwoods residence, wanted in relation to numerous break and enter offences that had been committed on the Sunshine Coast. One of these persons was a prison escapee from NSW.

THERE were also a number of drug raids carried out on the Palmwoods Eudlo area with a number of people charged with possessing a dangerous drug.
These raids are a result from information supplied by the Police Intelligence section Maroochydore - BE AWARE stiff penalties apply to possession of a dangerous drug.

POLICE had to call an Ambulance for two 13-year-olds who had attended a party at the duck pond where about 100 youths had gathered.
It would appear that the youths had consumed an unknown drug which had been placed in their drinks. One of the youths was admitted to hospital.
It was unfortunate to see the smashed bottles and mess left by the youths. People are reminded that it is an offence to consume alcohol in a public place and an on the spot fine of $60 can be issued by Police.

A EUDLO man is lucky to be alive after losing control of his motorcycle on a bend at Eudlo. He was admitted to Nambour General Hospital Intensive Care Unit with multiple fractures of both legs.

THERE were three traffic accidents in the Palmwoods area with all three drivers recording high blood alcohol levels. Random Breath testing will be stepped up towards the Christmas break with Sunshine Coast Traffic Branch and local Police. People are urged not to drink and drive, organise your lift home before you go out.

I hope you have a safe and happy Christmas.
From the staff at the Palmwoods Police Station.
