Residents to meet at tennis clubhouse

PALMWOODS Residents and Ratepayers Association's next meeting will be on February 9, 1999, at the tennis clubhouse from 7.30pm.

December meeting rundown:

• The listing and mapping of notable trees around Palmwoods in underway now and the Heritage Tree Walk project is on schedule.
  If you have any other trees to add, please contact Howard Betts on 5445 9411.

• The Annual Christmas Lights Competition was being finalised. Many more houses have been decorated this year and many families would have enjoyed touring the lights of Palmwoods at night.

• R'R 's Christmas Breakup dinner was the smorgasbord held at Palmwoods Hotel on 11 December.

Next meeting is on February 9.

Well, it is summer again and with the advent of summer all the insects come out in force, just to make our lives more of a challenge! The Residents have two simple and cost effective formulas for insect repellants:

75% baby oil and 25% dettol. Mix well and pat on skin.

1 part pennyroyal oil, 1 part eucalyptus oil and 1 part lavender oil. Mix well and pat on skin.
