Lions Lines

MORE than 3500 breakfasts: Another busy Australia Day morning for the Palmwoods/Woombye Lions Club in chalking-up over 3500 breakfasts since the inception of Australia Day Breakfasts in the Park during the bicentennial year, 1988.

Since then the concept has grown and grown until today we have one of the finest celebrations on the Sunshine coast. Over the years the Lions have had wonderful support from kindred community organisations, as was witnessed at the recent Australia Day Celebrations in Kolora Park. About 5 years ago, the Progress Association took over the organisation of the official program of the celebrations so that the Lions could concentrate on the breakfast menu, with this year just  over 340 breakfasts being supplied.

The Palmwoods/Woombye Lions club is a very proud and busy club in providing service to their community, their District, and indeed a host of projects both Nationally and Internationally.
