Community update: Arts and crafts

Palmwoods Arts and Crafts: The first meeting of the Palmwoods Arts and Crafts Group for 1999 is being held at The Shed, 153 Old Bowling Green Road, Palmwoods on Wednesday, February 3 at 9.30am. Come and enjoy a cuppa and chat before the meeting starts at l0am.

At the general meeting, plans will be formulated for the requirements of members for this year, dates for regular classes in Folk Art, Calligraphy, Embroidery, Fabric Painting, Silk Art, Drawing, Pottery and Decoupage will be confirmed. The Annual Meeting, held on the same morning will decide the office bearers for the year. Membership fee for 1999 has been kept at $15 and is due before the election. A BEAUTIFUL Christmas Cake donated to the Palmwoods Hostel Ladies Auxiliary Canteen Fund by local resident Isabel Baumann was won by Sharon Ciseau of 3 Greenleaves Crescent, Palmwoods (White ticket 24d). Many thanks to everyone who supported this raffle. Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous 1999.
