"Prince" in rehearsal

THE younger groups of Palmwoods Singers Theatrical Society are practising enthusiastically The Prince and the Penguins, a delightful children’s musical discovered by musical director Marjorie Murray during her search for new material.

The show will be staged in April. At the same time the adults are delighted with the huge number of wonderful old favourites which they hope to perfect in readiness for the Year of the Older Persons functions.

Their show will be in August. During the school holidays there was an assault on the costume and props department, all costuming being cleaned and repaired and sorted and packed neatly on hangers and on the new shelving provided by the indefatigable Stan Hyde.

This year there are two weekly practice nights, Tuesday 7 to 8.30pm - adult group, sub juniors 5 to 6pm, juniors 6 to 7pm and teens to 20s 7 to 8pm on Wednesdays. Enquiries 5445 9280 or 5445 9257.
