Introducing Nicole Bunce

Nicole Bunce

YOU have probably noticed by now that we have a new health care provider in Palmwoods. Palmwoods Physiotherapy Centre located in Main Street was opened just prior to Christmas by Nicole Bunce MAPA.

Originating from the UK Nicole has been a Palmwoods resident for 10 months and finds Palmwoods a warm and friendly community.

"When I decided it was time to open my own physiotherapy rooms, I felt I wanted them to be in Palmwoods. Two of my children attend school in Chevallum and my son goes to daycare in Palmwoods," she said.

Nicole graduated from St Thomas School of Physiotherapy in London in 1985. Her work experience in England included orthopaedic rehabilitation and working with hospital out-patients.

In 1986 her life was transformed when she came to Australia on a working holiday. After spending three months working at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne Nicole travelled around Australia sight-seeing and vowed that one day she would come back to live.

After six years working in an orthopaedic hospital in England and then working in a private practice in California treating neck and back problems and sport injuries, Nicole finally made it back.

Initially she lived on the Blackall range and worked in Nambour and Buderim before opening her Palmwoods clinic.

Her case load has been very broad including acute and chronic neck and back problems, upper and lower limb problems, sports injuries, taping, orthopaedic rehabilitation, exercise prescription including a spinal stabilisation program, maternity care and pelvic floor re-education including bladder and bowel dysfunction and respiratory problems.
