THE Woombye Tennis Club goes into the 1999 season fielding the same committee after their AGM: President Eric Holmnas, Secretary Lorraine Buhk, Treasurer Betty Tomkins, Vice President Peter Townson and Patron John Labatt.

President Eric praised the strong community support for the club since our decision to upgrade the surface. With the financial support from the Gaming Machine Community Benefit Fund that has allowed the club to build the toilet block, committee is looking to increased membership and use of the courts by the community. The committee thank once again the Woombye Bowls Club for allowing court bookings to be made through them.

Club fees for the 1999 season stay the same: Senior $25, Junior $14, Family 2 adults and 1 or more children attract a 10% discount. Court hire daytime $6 per hour per court, night time $8 per hour per court. Members are able to use the courts at any time by showing their card (best to ring first). Our Friday night social tennis is once again seeing good numbers and the weather has been kind to us so far. We have 2 Monday night fixture teams, 2 Saturday night fixture teams, one Friday and one Wednesday ladies fixture teams, one Wednesday ladies social and one Monday mixed social groups.
