Devils set for good season

THE Devils (above) have had a great start to the season with a spot in the Grand Final at the pre season 7 a side competition, only to go down to Mooloolaba 22-18.

Officials report: "Our first fixture game was not what we hoped for only playing a total of about 11 minutes due to an injury incurred by a Maleny player, which involved a helicopter having to land on the grounds to take him to Nambour Hospital.

"We hear Paul has recovered and is doing well. We then went down to competition leaders Mooloolaba 20-6.’’

The next three games saw a different Devils team coming away with wins against Beachmere 28-0 Pomona 26-0 and at a home game they defeated Coolum 50-14.

"I would like to thank everyone involved in hosting our first home game for the season a very rewarding day. Our next game will see us travel to Gympie to play Cooroy in what should be a great game. Cooroy stand 1 point ahead of us on the competition ladder. I hope to see some supporters.
