STUDENTS at Eudlo School received a clear message on the need for a responsible attitude towards personal safety and the safety of others during a visit by the spinal injury Awareness Team recently.

Lower school students enjoyed the antics of Beckie the puppet as Wayne Leo and Robert Spencer from the Paraplegic and Quadrapelegic Association (Qld) talked about spinal injury prevention.

The message to upper school students focused around a song, Being Safe, and everyone appreciated the humour that was part of the presentation. While teaching several important safety messages, Leo and Robert also gave the children a deeper understanding of the lifestyle of a person with a spinal injury.
