Kindy parents aid in clean-up
WITH the beginning of second term, Palmwoods Community Kindergarten introduces its winter program with indoor activities taking first place in the morning and outdoor play later when the day has warmed up.
The children are presently focusing on learning about colours. The program extends their knowledge of colours by incorporating songs, stories and activities such as painting of all kinds, play dough of all colours, gluing, threading and discussion about colours. The children are preparing to travel by train to Nambour to attend a play Round and Round the Mulberry Bush, performed by the Brisbane theatre group Fame. Parents are accompanying children and teachers so this will be a very exciting day.
A successful working bee was held during April in which many important jobs were completed by enthusiastic parents. The kindergarten thanks them for their supportand now sports a brand new sign, wonderfully colourful and up to date. The centre is looking much loved.
Playgroup participants are enjoying every Thursday afternoon between 1 pm and 3 pm and there is room for more so come along and share an early childhood education experience. For more information phone Lesley or Sandy 5445 9027.
