Exhibition "heads" above the rest

AN exhibition of interesting "heads" by a group of sculptors on the Sunshine Coast is currently showing at 10 Arts Exhibition Space in Palmwoods.

Exhibitors include most of the prominent sculptors in the area and all the exhibits are heads, of varying interpretations.

There are 17 artists represented and they all have taken a different approach to the subject. Each exhibitor is represented by between one and four pieces.

Gallery directors Kevin Lang and Chris Salomon have embraced this exhibition with their usual enthusiasm.

"This is an event of great magnitude which will impact on the recognition of Sunshine Coast artists in the future," Mr Salomon said.

"It is an exciting and unusual exhibition, a total smorgasbord of different styles and senses of humour."

The exhibition which was opened on May 14 to a packed house by radio personality Cam Young will be showing until June 5.
