FOR nearly 10 years Steve and Jenny Booth have been the friendly faces
behind Palmwoods oldest general store, Cut Price in Main Street, Palmwoods.
Along with eight other local part-time staff, the Booths children
Nathan and Jodie also work in their parents store in between their studies.
Residents of Palmwoods, the Booths are heavily involved in keeping the
community spirit alive in Palmwoods and always endeavour to employ young local people when
they need staff.
Since doubling in size in 1997 they have seen their product line expand
and their customer base grow.
Cut Price sells regular supermarket grocery lines, hot chickens and
takeaways, deli products, plants and seedlings, fruit and vegies, and fresh flowers on the
weekends.
They offer a 5% discount (excluding specials) to any associations,
clubs, and sporting groups for any account paid within one week of purchase date.
They are open seven days a week, Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm, 7am to
5.30 pm Saturday and 8am to 4pm on Sundays with eftpos facilities available for their
customers.
