STATEMENT: MAURIE HEE

Only you, the public can change the Constitution.

If elected, I will vote at the Constitutional Convention:

• That a referendum will be held, so you can have the final say, and
• That the questions best for Australia will be asked.

My personal beliefs are secondary to the cause that all Australians will be satisfied that they have been treated fairly on the issue.

For the record, there have been five generations of my family born in Australia, although we don't look like most Australians. I understand how minority groups feel about the issue as well as the majority groups. I am proud to be an Australian and having visited 32 countries overseas, want to keep Australia the best country in the world to live in.

A Civil Engineer for 36 years with service on National Working Groups, I am used to accepting facts, not exaggerated or other statements.
